The Retail Garden Store is a commercial design project I completed as one of my interior design assignments. The project was designed for an existing indoor plant business “All The Green Things”. The project included the design brief, the design concept which was communicated though hand rendering techniques, and the design solution which was developed and presented with CAD and rendering software packages.

The “Grow” concept was centered around a large feature green-wall which not only created impressive aesthetic-appeal, but housed the majority of the stores stock in plain sight, utilising individual removable grow pots that could easily be rearranged into different planting display patterns. The display islands all sit on castors and are at slightly differing heights to slot into each other and allow for variety in store display layouts. The contemporary rippled timber archway panels of the design not only create the contemporary aesthetic of the design, but have acoustic properties, and only one of these arches exists purely for aesthetics. The design includes a back area for staff to utilise which can also be used to hold terrarium and horticultural workshops the business hosts.
